sahmara is a contemporary singer, songwriter and pianist based in los angeles, california. her music infuses poetic yet sultry r&b vocals with soulful and bluesy productions – creating a unique brand of conscious and beautiful music that connects and inspires. emotionally paced and lyric-driven, sahmara is influenced by the likes of amy winehouse, sade, pip millett, snoh aalegra, and jorja smith. her debut single “#9” appeared in december of 2021 as a carefully considered love song, one in which she describes her personal involvement with reckless intimacy. since this project, she has continued to release additional singles (six feet away, seasonal sincerities) which invite the listener to engage through common experience. most recently, she released her latest single “to us,” which speaks to infidelity and the pain of love lost. her sound, sensuality and seemingly effortless creativity will surely leave you wanting more. shows coming soon!
